Description
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This position requires a focus on patient care, teamwork, and a detail-oriented approach to various medical procedures and patient interactions.
Unit Information
The Emergency Department consists of 38 beds, including three key areas: Rapid, Main, and a specialized psych-safe area. The unit operates with a dedicated team of RNs during both day and night shifts.
Staffing Details
- Day Shift: 7 RNs
- Night Shift: 7 RNs
- Mid Shift: 5 RNs
Equipment and Technology
The following equipment is regularly utilized in this unit:
- Ventilators
- BiPAP machines
- EKG monitors
- Arterial lines
- Belmont pumps
- Chest tubes
The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in use is Meditech.
Essential Qualifications
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC
- Skills: Prioritization, time management, and de-escalation techniques
- Preferred Skills: CPI training and teamwork capabilities
Typical Procedures
RNs will perform various procedures, including but not limited to:
- Port placement
- Chest tube insertion

Work Schedule
Minimum requirements include:
- 4 weekend shifts and 2 Friday shifts every 4 weeks
- 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays per year
Dress Code
All staff are required to wear navy blue scrubs during their shifts.

This MRI department is amazing! The nurses there are awesome! My experience there was exceptional! The patient care was outstanding!!
Cons
The pay was the only thing that was lacking. But that is what it was! No regrets about working there! Also the housing situation was not great. But that has nothing to do with the facility!
