Description
Position Description
This is a seasonal travel position with guaranteed hours. The role is based in an intensive care unit, allowing for focused patient care and advanced medical management.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Unit Staffing: Unit Secretary available from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Floating Policy: May float to similar units as needed
Scheduling Requirements
- 3 twelve-hour shifts with every other weekend, or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required
- Advanced skills in hemodynamic and ventilator management
- Experience in trauma patient management, IV administration of vasoactive medications, chest tube management, and care of post-operative surgical patients is preferred
Responsibilities
- Management of patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring
- Ventilator management and care of stroke patients
- Performing procedures such as chest tube placement, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Participation in advanced procedures such as ECMO, arterial line, and central line placement
Certifications Required
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Preferred but not required: TNCC
Dress Code
- Top: Navy scrub top (no t-shirts allowed)
- Bottoms: Navy or black scrub bottoms
- Jackets: Navy, white, or black (solid colors)
- Undershirts: Navy, white, or black (solid colors)

This MRI department is amazing! The nurses there are awesome! My experience there was exceptional! The patient care was outstanding!!
Cons
The pay was the only thing that was lacking. But that is what it was! No regrets about working there! Also the housing situation was not great. But that has nothing to do with the facility!
