Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical unit is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role entails working with patients across various specialties, including urology, gynecology, orthopedics, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT, and vascular care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Document all care and patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Qualifications

• Active nursing license verification through Nursys.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical nursing specialty.
• Completion of a skills checklist and provision of references are required.
• Current certification card in relevant areas of practice.
• No recent time off (RTO) or gaps greater than 60 days in work history.
