Description
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to patients in the postpartum and labor delivery settings. This role involves supporting mothers during labor and the postpartum period, along with attending to their infants as needed.

- Unit Type: Labor and Delivery with Postpartum Care
- Number of Beds: 10 LDR, 2 OR, 2 Triage
- Patient Ratios: AWHONN guidelines
- Type of Equipment: Updated HillRom and GE systems
- EMR System: Expanse for documentation and CPN for monitoring
Shift and Scheduling
- Rotating weekends
- Includes holiday coverage
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Experience in Labor and Delivery
- Able to circulate in the OR for cesarean sections
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with labor and postpartum care
- Triage experience
Certifications
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN FM (Advancing the Practice of Maternal-Newborn Nursing)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Personality Traits
The ideal candidate will be energetic and ready to support a new team, contributing positively to the unit's environment.
Dress Code
Scrub color and attire will be provided by the unit for surgical areas.
Unit Policies and Guidelines
The unit adheres to established maternal and neonatal policies. Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these guidelines.
