Description
Position Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) with experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum care. This is a travel position offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that provides comprehensive healthcare services to women and newborns.
Facility Information
Location: San Antonio, TX
- Unit Capacity: 10 Labor and Delivery Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms, 2 Triage Areas
- Patient Ratios: Following AWHONN guidelines
- Instrumentation: Updated HillRom and GE equipment
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Expanse for documentation, CPN for monitoring
Shifts and Scheduling
- Rotating weekends are required
- Holiday coverage will be included
Responsibilities
- Provide care for Labor and Delivery patients
- Deliver postpartum couplet care
Requirements
Experience and Skills
- Must Have:
- Experience in Labor and Delivery
- Able to circulate in the Operating Room for cesarean sections
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Labor and Postpartum care
- Experience in Triage
Certifications
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN FM (Fetal Monitoring)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Dress Code
Scrubs will be provided by the unit for those working in the surgical area.
