Description
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Open Heart Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team in a travel position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Open Heart surgery, as well as experience in various surgical specialties.
Position Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Days (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM)
- Call Requirements: Weeknight and weekend availability
- Floating: Not required
- Block Scheduling: Not available
Location

Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Indiana
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Open Heart surgery
- Additional surgical experience in Orthopedic, Neurological, Da Vinci Robot, General, Gynecological, and Podiatry procedures is preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is an advantage
Work Environment
The surgical unit consists of 12 beds, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1. Surgical staff wears surgical blue scrubs.
Orientation
Orientation for new hires will be available on approved dates, typically occurring every other Monday (excluding holidays).
Please ensure that all submissions include required licenses and certifications. Note: Candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted.
