Unit Type: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)

Number of Beds: 26

Staff Size: 15

• Day Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
• Night Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech

Patient Ratios: 1:2; 1:1 for high acuity patients, including post-CABG individuals

Type of Equipment: Balloon pumps, CRRT, Hypothermia, ECMO

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Job Overview

As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients in a high-acuity environment. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to trauma and surgical patients, including those recovering from complex procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year of current hospital ICU experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• TNCC certification
• Experience in large trauma facilities

Typical Procedures

• Care for trauma patients
• Post-operative care for CABG and TAVR patients
• General post-surgical care in ICU
• Management of chest tubes, central lines, and medication drips
