Position Overview

This position is a Weekends Only role for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Critical Care. The selected candidate will work primarily in the Critical Care Unit (CCU), providing high-quality patient care for critically ill patients.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 for CCU patients
• Staffing Description: Unit secretary available on days and nights, with occasional tech support.
• Type of Equipment: GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week, 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Floating Policy: Contract labor will float before core staff
• Patient Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
• 1 year of critical care experience
• Experience with Meditech
• ACLS certification
• NIH certification
• Advanced Skills Needed: Ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular & vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients.
• Procedures Performed on Unit: Bedside central line placement, Massive transfusion protocol.
• Certifications Required: ACLS

Black scrubs are required for this position.
