We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar specialty and involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in managing patient care, which includes discharging 8-15 patients daily and admitting a similar number from various sources, including the Emergency Department (ED) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Support for patient flow is provided by an Admission, Discharge, Transfer (ADT) nurse.

Schedule

This position is scheduled from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with varying workdays. Candidates must be available to work during holiday periods, specifically:

• 2 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
• 1 minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system is preferred
