Job Description
The X-Ray Technologist provides technical expertise in radiology and fluoroscopy, playing a crucial role in producing and processing images of various anatomical parts to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Responsibilities include:
- Setting appropriate exposure factors and positioning patients to achieve high-quality diagnostic images while following A.L.A.R.A. guidelines.
- Operating a variety of technical equipment and software for imaging.
- Preparing and administering contrast materials to patients.
- Assisting with special procedures and examinations.
- Specializing in image production for specific anatomical areas, such as the chest, gastrointestinal tract, or orthopedics.
- Participating in cross-training for additional modalities as required by departmental policies.
Additional Information
Holiday coverage is required for this position.
