We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a busy emergency department with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

- Trauma Level: III
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
- 54 Beds and Trauma Bays
- Fast Track Available
- Separate Triage Area and Holding Area
- Separate Psych/Seclusion Rooms
- Security on site 24/7
- Average ER Patients Treated Per Day: 75+
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4
Essential Qualifications
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS
- Experience in managing common emergency diagnoses including abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, and extremity injuries.
- Ability to administer common drips: cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ED physicians and mid-levels to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in the triage process as required.
- Work alongside nurse aids, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters based on shift needs.
- Monitor and assist with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen.
- Transport patients for X-Ray or CT imaging as necessary.
- Perform blood draws alongside phlebotomy staff.
Scheduling and Work Environment
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available.
- Weekend and holiday work is required, in alignment with departmental needs.
- Floating requirements are determined by nursing management.
- Dress code includes navy blue scrubs.
Orientation
All clinicians must be present for the week of orientation, which may include remote modules on the first day. Unit-specific orientation details will be provided during this week.
