Description
Job Overview
A reputable healthcare organization is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in telemetry nursing within a hospital environment and be prepared to deliver high-quality patient care.
Scheduled Details
- 12-hour Night Shifts: 1900 - 0730
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday shifts required based on unit needs
Experience Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Telemetry RN in a hospital setting
- Must pass a dysrhythmia test assigned by the agency
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Licenses and Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
The Telemetry RN will provide patient care in a general medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The nurse must be capable of floating occasionally to other units as needed based on divisional requirements. Patient-to-nurse ratios typically range from 1:3 to 1:4.
Unit Information
The unit consists of 36 beds, including 29 rooms and 7 semi-private spaces. The Telemetry RN will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Orientation and Credentialing
- Attend New Employee Orientation during the first week of employment
- Participate in additional training sessions, including Days of Nursing (DON) and EPIC training
- Credentialing requirements include CBC, Drug Screen, and lab work to be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
Additional Information
This facility operates as a nicotine-free environment. Candidates will receive bi-weekly pay, and the organization allows for the cancellation of up to two shifts per month at no cost.
