• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Shift Information

This position is for the night shift, with requirements for working 6-9 weekends within a six-week schedule. In cases of extreme need, floating may occur within Zone 1.

Orientation

All clinicians must be present in-state for the week of orientation, even if the initial day modules are remote.

Number of Beds/Trauma Bays: 15 beds, 2 trauma bays

Separate Triage Area: Yes (Travelers are required to perform triage)

Psych/Seclusion Rooms: Yes

Security: In-house 24/7 within the ER

Patient Care

Average Patient Volume: 45+ patients per day

Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4

Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: Abdomen Pain, Chest Pain, Fever, Cough, Dyspnea, Headache, Injury, Extremity Pain.

Required Skills and Equipment

• Experience with NIHSS and TNCC
• Common Drips: Cardiac, Antihypertensive, Antiarrhythmic, Sedation, and Analgesia
• Respiratory Therapy Equipment: Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow
• Phlebotomy: Both lab draws by staff and RNs
• Monitor Technicians: Not available, RNs are required to read their own strips

Scheduling

Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available. Full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule, in alignment with department needs and unit staffing plans.
