Description
Job Overview
The Registered Nurse in the MedSurg/Telemetry float pool will work across various medical-surgical areas as needed. This position is essential for providing high-quality patient care in diverse clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care in MedSurg and Telemetry units.
- Float to different medical-surgical areas based on staffing needs.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing necessary interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg and/or Telemetry nursing.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
