Unit Information

Unit specializing in interventional cardiology, cardiac procedures, and vascular treatments.

Work Schedule

• Shifts: Days with varied times
• Shift lengths: 8 or 10-hour shifts
• Weekly hours: 40
• On-call: 1-2 days per week and approximately every 2-3 weekends, including holidays.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in the Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular unit, you will:

• Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Apply specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography, cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker insertions, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertions.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring with a solid understanding of relevant radiology equipment and imaging processes.
• Maintain knowledge of Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures.
