Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position focuses on providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction at all times.

Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Unit Staffing: Unit secretary available 21 hours per day; 5 core Registered Nurses covering 10 AM to 10 PM
- Type of Equipment: Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Artic Sun, Lifepak, Alaris pumps
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: Every third weekend, mid-shift schedules ranging from 10 AM to 2:30 AM or 1 PM to 1:30 AM
- Floating Policy: Rare; staff may only be flexed home if necessary
- Patient Experience Requirements: Use of AIDET, whiteboards, and a positive attitude
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC preferred, with CPI, CEN or TCRN certification as a plus
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center
- Required Skills: Knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis, and triage
- Procedures: Familiarity with all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center
- Licensure: Current Kansas Registered Nurse license
Dress Code
Required uniform includes a solid cobalt blue top and black or cobalt blue pants, along with closed-toe shoes.

This is a travel position.

This position offers a day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM.
