Unit Information

• Unit Name: J6 Orthopedics
• Number of Beds: 32 individual rooms
• Staffing: 50 total staff members
• Patient Ratios:
  • Day Shift: 5:1 (6:1 stretch)
  • Night Shift: 6:1 (7:1 stretch)
• Equipment: Walkers, Bedside Commode, Bladder Scanners, Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) devices, Sky lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, vital sign monitors, hover mats, bair hugger, and wheelchairs.
• EMR: Cerner

Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to orthopedic patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate the capacity to care for patients as if they were family.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dressing changes and suture/staple removal.
• Insert and manage Foley Catheters and NG Tubes.
• Maintain and remove wound vacs.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Active NC RN License
  • BLS Certification
• Preferred:
  • Experience in a hospital setting
  • Orthopedic experience

Work Schedule

The position requires working every other weekend.

Experience Required
