• Unit Type: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 31
• Staffing: 60 staff members
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Type of Equipment: Level 2 Trauma Center
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Required Skills:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in emergency and trauma care

Job Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a high-acuity setting. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting patient assessments and developing nursing care plans
• Administering medications and treatments accurately
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Performing all necessary emergency and trauma procedures as required
