Position Description

Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a dynamic Neuro Med/Surg unit. This 20-bed unit boasts a patient ratio of 6:1, allowing for focused and quality care delivery. Our supportive environment includes tech support on both day and night shifts, as well as a unit secretary available during daytime hours.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Supported Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG Machines, Bladder Scanner, iMobile Communication Technology
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Floating Policy: Contract labor is first to float; subsequent floating follows a rotation among scheduled staff.

Patient Experience

Commitment to patient experience is essential. Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families, with a focus on bedside shift reports and making personal connections to include patients and their families in their plan of care.

Qualifications

• Required Skills: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, IV initiation, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Must Have: Active RN license, BLS certification
• Advanced Skills Needed: N/A

Dress Code

Uniforms required include navy scrubs, tops, and bottoms.
