Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a cardiovascular setting, focusing primarily on the cardiovascular med/surg unit. The RN will work night shifts, engaging in patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for a diverse patient population.

Schedule

This position requires the RN to work every Monday, with a total of 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The contract length is for 13 weeks, including hours dedicated to non-billable orientation.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiovascular setting is required, with a preference for candidates with additional experience related to cardiovascular care.
• Licenses and Certifications: Current RN license in Illinois, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and the ability to pass an EKG test.
• Weekend Requirement: The RN will be expected to work every other weekend.
• Floating Requirement: The RN may float to any unit within the organization, assuming a full patient ratio as assigned.

Additional Information

Candidates must be prepared to meet holiday requirements as needed. New graduates will not be considered for this position. Orientation hours will total 16 hours prior to the start of the assignment, and credentialing is required to be completed by Thursday before the start date.

Payroll Information

Payroll is processed bi-weekly.
