Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. The candidate must be proficient in operating an MRI machine, providing comfort and support to patients during scanning procedures, and coordinating with physicians to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and clearly explain procedures to help them feel at ease.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the imaging tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Experience operating GE scanners is required.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Injection certification is mandatory.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license is required (applicants must be willing to obtain this after starting).

Work Schedule

This position is full-time, requiring evening and overnight shifts from Monday to Thursday, from 8 PM to 6 AM.
