Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and have certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The successful applicant will operate the MRI machine efficiently, ensure patient comfort before and during scanning procedures, and coordinate with physicians for timely results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services.
• Prepare patients for scans, explaining the procedures to ease their concerns.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association only.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners is required.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred.
• ARRT certification is mandatory.
• Injection certification is required.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license is required; candidates must be willing to obtain this after starting.

Work Schedule

Availability from Tuesday to Friday, 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM EST, along with flexibility for holidays as per unit needs.
