We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to operate MRI machinery efficiently while ensuring patient comfort and care throughout the scanning process.

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for conducting magnetic resonance imaging procedures, coordinating with medical staff, and maintaining a safe and clean scanning environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate effectively with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans by providing clear explanations of the procedures to alleviate any anxiety.
• Insert IVs when necessary to facilitate imaging tests.
• Document all procedures meticulously while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with GE MRI scanners is mandatory.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Injection certification is required.
• NYS Radiologic Technology license; must be willing to obtain after starting.
