Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Monitor patient status and perform assessments.
• Titrate drips as needed, including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and interpret results.
• Maintain positive communication with patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of 1 year of general critical care experience preferred.
• Experience in trauma, surgical, and neurocritical care is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.

Work Environment

• Unit includes MICU, CSICU, and NTICU, with a total of 60 ICU beds.
• Nurse-patient ratios maintained at 1:2.
• Clinical staff includes hospitalists and intensivists, with respiratory therapy available 24/7.
• Every nurse is responsible for reading their own telemetry strips using Philips monitors.

Scheduling and Orientation

• Shifts are self-scheduled with weekend and holiday requirements applicable.
• Orientation week attendance is mandatory, regardless of remote modules.

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs are required for all nursing staff.
