Position Summary

The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room plays a crucial role in providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires expertise in various surgical procedures, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Unit Information

• Number of OR Suites: 15
• Number of Staff: 68
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: OR service line equipment for Orthopedic, Burn, Spine, Urology, Trauma, General, Robotics, Gynecology, and Plastics
• Electronic Medical Record System: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Trauma Operating Room experience
• Minimum of 1 year of Orthopedic experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Burn or Plastic Surgery
• Prior experience with Meditech

Unit Characteristics

• Staffing: Includes a Charge Nurse, Team Leads, Circulators, Techs, Anesthesia Techs, and Patient Care Assistants

Responsibilities

As a Travel RN in the Operating Room, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures.
• Monitoring patient care and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.
• Working collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule

This position involves working every other weekend and participating in holiday rotations as per facility policy.
