Position Overview

The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in the SICU will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients. This role is critical in ensuring optimal patient outcomes and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Location

Position available in a facility located in City, State.

Shifts

This position is a day shift role, with hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide direct patient care to individuals in the SICU setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on patient feedback and assessment results.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and in accordance with established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate patient records.
• Respond proactively to patient needs and changes in condition, providing crisis intervention as necessary.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care or SICU environment.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
