• Float Required: Yes (ER, ICU)

Unit Description

• 70-bed rural facility.
• Travelers must be experienced in acute care/telemetry and capable of caring for pediatric/adolescent patients.
• LPNs are utilized on the night shift alongside RNs.
• RNs may float to other units (including ICU) as needed.
• House Supervisor available for support 24/7.
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:5.

Requirements

• Certifications Required:

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Certifications Preferred:

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years in nursing
  • 1 year of experience in MS/Tele
  • 2 years of experience in Stepdown
  • Ability to read telemetry strips
• Skills Required:

  • Telemetry
• Skills Preferred:

  • Pediatrics
  • Charge experience

• Physical Exam: Initial physical, updated annually.
• Drug Testing: 10 panel within 30 days of start and updated annually.
• Background Check: 7-year criminal check within a year of start and updated annually.
• Vaccination Requirements:

  • Flu vaccination documentation
  • COVID-19 vaccination records or signed declination form (not required)
