Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist - Colorado, Lafayette

Job Summary

• Provide technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Act as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events.
• Provide patient care under RN supervision.
• Educate patients and families about the procedure, including pre- and post-procedure expectations and physical conditions.
• Maintain order, cleanliness, and appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards.
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and potential safety hazards.
• Promote organizational mission, vision, and values, adhering to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Skills & Experience

• Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) required within 18 months of hire, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification, or RCIS or RCES required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• Fluoroscopy Certification.
• Radiation badges must be supplied by the vendor.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab preferred.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
