Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides and administers all aspects of respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment under supervision. This includes working with patients who have cardiopulmonary system deficiencies, performing intubation assistance, ventilator setup and management, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to evaluate and meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction for education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients.
• Assist with intubation and manage ventilators.
• Collect and evaluate patient information, including disease education and consultations.
• Develop rapport and mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members to support care goals.
• Educate patients and caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for at least 1 hour daily.
• Maintain regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.
