Job Description

• Deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Follow hospital policies, mission, and regulatory guidelines.
• Direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to support patient- and family-centered care.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
• Plan and implement nursing care based on patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Take personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
• Float to tele units including CSU, 3 South, 4 South, and Med Surg units: 3 West, 4 West, and IPR.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• Travel Assignments: Completion of at least 1 travel assignment required.
• EMR Experience: Paragon EMR highly preferred.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (preferred)
• Licensing:

  • Active Michigan RN license required.
  • Verification through LARA and Nursys required. If any license issues exist, a written explanation is recommended.
• Skills Checklist: Must be completed within one year of application for RN specialties.
• References: Not required.
• Employment Restrictions: Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
