Travel RN Opportunity – Labor & Delivery

Location: Ottumwa Regional Health Center, Ottumwa, Iowa
Facility: Lifepoint Health, Inc (Parent)

Position Details

Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Number of Openings: 1
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience & Certifications

Experience Required: 1-2 years (1 year experience with travel experience considered)
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE (Post-resuscitation/pre-transport care of sick infants)

Unit & Patient Information

Unit: Labor & Delivery
Patient Ratios:
- Active labor: 1:1
- Couplet care: 3:1
Equipment: Intermediate fetal monitoring, Philips Tracevue
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
Float Requirements: May float to other hospital units as needed
Patient Population: Maternity patients (labor and delivery)

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Iowa SING Background Check clearance required (criminal and child abuse portions) – no exceptions
All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start – no instant or statewide searches accepted
Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult required
10-panel drug test including opiates required
Immunization titers within last 12 months required (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
