Job Opportunity: Radiology CT/X-Ray Technologist

Location: Carmichael, California

Position Overview:

• Travel contract position near Sacramento
• Flexible candidate needed to work varied 10-hour night shifts
• Shifts start between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM
• Required call every other weekend (EOW)
• On-call likely for evenings or nights, standby starting at 3:00 PM or 6:00 PM for 12 hours on weekends not scheduled (details discussed during interview)
• Will float between CT and X-Ray departments

Contract Length:

• 13 weeks

Experience & Certifications Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist
• Active BLS certification
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
• Fluoroscopy permit
• California Radiologic Technologist license
• Two supervisory references required (one within the past 12 months, one within the past 3 years)

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year
• PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable

Work Environment & Equipment:

• CT equipment: Siemens Edge 128 and Siemens Definition 128
• X-Ray equipment: Carestream and portable units
• CT patient volume: approximately 110-130 patients per day
• Scrub color: Teal

This role is ideal for experienced CT/X-Ray technologists seeking a flexible travel assignment with night shifts and varied responsibilities across imaging modalities.
