CT Technologist - Newton, Massachusetts (Long-Term Assignment)

Job Summary

• Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under physician and technical supervision.
• Use prescribed levels of ionizing radiation to produce quality diagnostic images.
• Work with patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
• Operate imaging equipment and able to insert and remove IVs.
• Follow all federal, state, local, and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology experience required.
• Knowledge of adult and older adult patient needs preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed by the State of Massachusetts Radiation Control Board.
• ARRT Registered - RT (R) or RT (N).
• ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography preferred.
• If no CT license at hire, must obtain within 1 year.
• CPR certified.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks.

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Certifications & Licenses (Required before start)

• BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred).
• License/Certificate Verification (Primary source verification within 30 days of start).
• ARRT certification.
• MGB Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start).
• Massachusetts CORI background check (within 30 days prior to start).
• National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days prior to start).
• Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid; within 30 days prior to start).
• Education Verification.
• Social Security Number Trace (past 7 years addresses).

Health & Safety (Required before start)

• Fit Test for N95 respirator (within 365 days, updated annually).
• Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions.
• TB Test (skin test or blood test within 3 months, updated if >6 month break).
• Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA (within 365 days, updated if >6 month break).
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity.
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required).
• Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years).
• Hepatitis B vaccine or immunity preferred (optional).
• Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray documentation (optional).
• TB Symptom Survey if positive PPD (optional).

Documentation & Submission (Required for submission)

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above).
• Skills checklist.
• Candidate submission coversheet.

Orientation & Assignment

• MGB NWH Self-Study Orientation & Attestation (required before onboarding).
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form (required for initial assignments and extensions).

This position is a long-term assignment (approximately 13 weeks) for a licensed CT Technologist with required certifications and compliance documentation ready prior to start.
