Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician (Travel)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: On-call as needed, including weekends
• Holiday: Availability required for any holiday during scheduled shifts
• Employment Type: Travel

Required Credentials

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Must be AHA certified
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be AHA certified
• Current license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding and education attestations
• Valid driver’s license or state ID (must not be expired and address must match requirements)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Proof of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – documented proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof; no declinations accepted
  • Tdap vaccine (valid for 10 years)
  • TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (annual update required)
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 12-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Compliance and Verification

• Criminal background check including Social Security trace, employment verification, OIG search, and national sex offender registry (completed within 30 days of assignment start, updated annually)
• Employment and education verifications completed prior to assignment start and updated as required
• Professional references (at least two) required before first assignment
• Skills checklist and core competencies testing completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Resume/profile submission required

Additional Notes

• Medical Imaging Contract Worker Form completed onsite
• Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background required
• Post-assignment evaluations may be requested

This position requires strict adherence to credentialing, health, and compliance standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
