Job Opportunity: RN Electrophysiology (Travel)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 38 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with 1 day off)
• Weekly assigned late day to cover cases past 5:00 PM
• No on-call, weekends, or holidays required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start
• Pharmacology exam (Ascension Pharmacology Exam) with minimum 80% score, updated every 3 years
• Specialty exam in area of specialization (Ascension Specialty Exam), minimum 80% or national benchmark, updated every 3 years
• Color Vision test, updated every 3 years
• Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics), minimum 80% score, updated yearly
• EKG Exam with minimum 80% score, updated as per latest edition
• Fit Test (annual)
• Driver’s License/State ID (valid, must match address requirements)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to assignment, updated annually
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes

Background & Compliance Checks

• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days of assignment
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start
• Employment Verification for past 7 years, updated annually or if break in service > 90 days
• Education Verification within 90 days of start
• Drug Screen: 12 panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Professional references: At least two qualifying references prior to assignment

Onboarding & Additional Requirements

• Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (onsite)
• Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical competency), updated annually
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment documentation
• Ascension Badge Photo (professional headshot with white or blue background)

• Ascension Unit Specific Checklist (optional for onboarding, must be uploaded within a week)
• Hiring Manager Evaluation (post-assignment)
• Legal documentation of name change (if applicable)
