IR Tech Position - Bismarck, North Dakota
Job Overview
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)
- Location: Bismarck, ND
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Facility provides scrubs (Ceil Blue)
- Local candidates within 80 miles are not accepted
Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Required Certifications:
- ARRT (R)
- BLS
- North Dakota Medical Imaging Board registration (NDMIRT) — takes about 4 weeks to obtain
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Job Duties
- Assist Radiologists during procedures by scrubbing in and coordinating the room
- Scheduling and coding of procedures
- Post-procedure film processing, charting, billing, and supply management
- Work independently on smaller interventional cases and in pairs for large angiography cases
- Floating primarily to Cat Scan department to assist with procedures

- Electronic Medical Records (Epic)
- Sectra PACS
- Toshiba IR Machine
- Siemens Ultrasound Unit
Work Schedule & Environment
- Shift: 8-hour days with possibility to finish ongoing cases started late
- Call required: evening and weekend rotations, approximately 10 days or less per month
- Typically about 2 days per week on call, depending on time off schedules
- Two fluoroscopy rooms, CT utilization, and two MIS rooms for ultrasound procedures
- Must badge in and out at the facility
Additional Notes
- Candidates must disclose if they have worked for the facility before; if yes, previous employment must have ended at least 6 months prior to submission
