Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology RN
• Shift: Days (06:30 AM - 05:00 PM)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
• On-Call Requirement: 1 primary night and 1 secondary night per week
• Floating: May float within scope as needed
• Block Schedule: Schedule requests can be discussed with manager
• Local Candidates: Accepted, no radius restrictions
• Licensure: Must have active Illinois RN license or active application with ETA
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days onsite per week

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or RQI acceptable

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification (degree or transcript)
• State-specific searches including Illinois Department of Corrections, Most Wanted, and State Police registries within 30 days of start
• Illinois Health Care Worker Registry search required for clinical candidates without an IL license
• Fingerprints must be completed in Illinois 3 business days prior to start (not required for non-clinical or remote candidates)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by appropriate healthcare provider
• Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB questionnaire updated annually
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30

Additional Requirements

• Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
• Skills checklist required for clinical and allied candidates
• Two professional references required for direct travel, allied, per diem, and acute care candidates
• Badge photo required within one week of contract signing
• Review and sign facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct and Parking Permit Form

This position is ideal for experienced Interventional Radiology RNs who meet Illinois licensure requirements and are comfortable with a travel contract assignment in an acute care, Level II trauma hospital setting.
