Job Description
The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and families across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults. Responsibilities include:
- Independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions per standards and competencies.
- Executing the Standards of Nursing Practice: assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Developing and revising patient care plans.
- Coordinating care among disciplines.
- Delegating activities to other care providers as appropriate.
- Participating in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices.
- Leading and improving practice standards and the care environment.
- Promoting exceptional patient care.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience.
- Travel experience required.
- Level I Trauma experience required.
- Experience in Orthopedics, Spine, and Urology required.
- Experience with XI Robots required.
- Experience with all patient populations required.
- Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required.
- Current skills checklist relevant to specialty (updated within 1 year).
- Work history documentation.
- Two supervisory references with dates employed.
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minnesota state nursing license required.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates not eligible to work in the USA must note this on their profile.
- All Return to Office (RTO) requests must be included at time of submission; late requests may not be honored.
- MN DHS Net Study & Fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions.
- Strict compliance deadline for credentialing and onboarding: 4 pm on the Wednesday before start date (no exceptions).
Facility & Work Environment
- Level 1 Trauma center with Level II pediatric trauma and Level III NICU.
- Uses Epic EMR system.
- Hospital provides scrubs.
- Nonbillable hours: 4 hours.
- Local traveler policy applies for those living within 35 miles of the facility.
- Emphasis on professional growth and supportive culture.
This position is ideal for experienced RNs with trauma and specialty experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment and have proficiency with Epic EMR.
