Position Details

• Shift:

  • 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Option for 4 days a week, 10 hours per day available
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
• First-timers: Accepted
• Weekend Requirement: None, unless desired
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: May float within scope as needed
• Block Schedule: Possible, discuss with manager
• Local Candidates: Accepted, no radius restrictions
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - State license required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on unit/specialty
• State License verification and primary source verification required
• NURSYS verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP) if applicable

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
• Illinois-specific searches including Department of Corrections, State Police registries, and Most Wanted within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting via Illinois Health Care Worker Registry (must be completed in Illinois 3 business days prior to start)
• Education verification (degree/transcript/diploma)
• Competency exam required for all clinical/allied candidates

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good physical and mental health, ability to perform job functions without restrictions
• Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB questionnaire updated annually
• Immunizations or proof of immunity (or signed declination) for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (color photo, mid-shoulders up, plain background) due within one week of signing
• Review and sign Code of Conduct within 7 days of contract signing
• Parking permit form to be completed within 7 days of contract signing (if applicable)
• References: 2 professional references required for all direct travel, allied, per diem, acute care candidates
• Skills checklist required for all clinical/allied candidates
