Job Opportunity: Mammography Technician (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Mountain View, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Mammography Technician (Mammo Tech)
- Shift Options:
- Tuesday to Saturday or Monday to Friday, 5 days of 8-hour shifts
- Variable shifts: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM
- Day shift on the fifth day (Saturday)
- Possible days off: Sunday/Monday or Friday/Sunday
- Work Schedule: Every other weekend
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Mammography Technician
- Travel experience preferred
Certifications
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- AART (American Association of Radiologic Technologists)
- RHM (Registered in Mammography)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:
- Social Security trace with all aliases
- County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
- Nationwide sex offender search (within 90 days of start)
- Education verification (not required if highest education is high school)
- FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
- Employment history verification for the last 7 years with no gaps over 30 days
- References: 2 professional references required for clinical/allied roles
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear for work)
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or facial hair)
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual renewal required)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually
- Color blindness exam if applicable (in-person exam only)
Additional Compliance & Documentation
- Candidate must review and sign various facility-specific documents prior to start, including:
- Job description
- Standards of business conduct
- Code of conduct
- Vendor training
- HIPAA acknowledgment
- Emergency contact form
- Abuse policy
- Confidentiality agreements
- Orientation and safety checklists
- TB screening questionnaire required within 90 days of start and annually thereafter
- Conditional offer of employment attestation required prior to start
- Religious exemption forms available for PAPR use and certain vaccine exemptions (case-by-case approval)
Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (if applicable)
- Other unit-specific skills checklists and competency exams as required
