Registered Nurse (RN) - Mount Clemens, Michigan (Temp)

Job Overview

• Deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Follow hospital policies, mission, and regulatory guidelines.
• Direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to support patient- and family-centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
• Plan and implement nursing care based on patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Take personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
• Float to tele units: CSU, 3 South, 4 South and Med Surg: 3 West, 4 West, and IPR.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• Completion of at least 1 travel assignment.
• Paragon EMR experience is highly preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Michigan RN license (active) required; verification through LARA and Nursys.
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application (required for RN specialties).
• References are not required.
• Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed.
• Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.

Certifications

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks.

Important Policies

• Strict 3-strike attendance policy: More than 3 absences or being over 20 minutes late 3 times will result in immediate termination.
• Exceptions considered for communicable diseases or hospitalization with supporting evidence.
• Policy effective starting 2/28/2024.

• Acute care hospital with 288 beds.
• Facility operates the busiest emergency department in the county and is a verified trauma center.
• Accredited chest pain center.
• Dress code: Matching scrubs.
• EMR system: Paragon.
