Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Athens, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Two hospital campuses serving the community with a full range of healthcare services.
• Athens campus offers emergency, inpatient, and outpatient acute care services.
• Etowah campus includes emergency and outpatient services, an 88-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility, inpatient geriatric behavioral health, and an Advanced Wound Care Center.

• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed

• Float Requirements: As needed

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1+ year
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Licensure: Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license/certification to work in Tennessee
• Background Check: Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Other: Must have all required certifications prior to start; client may require additional certifications

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and be comfortable as the sole RT on shift
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Emergency Room (ER) and Critical Care settings preferred
• Previous RRT experience preferred
• Professional demeanor required

• Scrub color: Any
• Casual wear is not acceptable

Additional Notes

• Orientation is bi-weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
