Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: West Hollywood, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday with Saturday rotation
• Shift hours: Between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM (hours may vary by department needs)
• Position requires floating to different departments within the main campus as needed
• Responsibilities include screening and diagnostic mammography (2D and 3D), wire localizations, radar localizations, stereotactic biopsies
• On-call: Not required
• Float: Required
• Approximate daily caseload: 150 patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
• Minimum 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ARRT (R) certification

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, CPI certifications may be relevant depending on assignment
• State License verification required
• Fire Card required if working at the facility for 6 months or more (onsite course provided)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-panel criminal background check within 6 months of start, updated annually
• Education verification including highest medical degree (transcript/diploma required)
• DAPIP accreditation verification for applicable tech roles
• Drug screening panel within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Immunization requirements:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella: Positive titer, proof of 2 vaccines, or history of chickenpox
• Annual flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30), with strict exemption policies

Additional Requirements

• Photo for facility badge (passport-style photo with specific guidelines)
• Completion of facility-specific documents including:

  • Job description addendum and acknowledgement
  • Code of conduct and attendance policy attestation
  • Job hazard analysis and safe work practices acknowledgement
  • Scheduling guidelines review
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as required
• References: 2 professional references required, including 1 supervisory

Notes

• Floating to multiple departments is expected
• No on-call duties required
• Facility-specific orientation and compliance modules must be completed prior to start
• Strict adherence to facility policies and documentation is mandatory for onboarding and continued employment
