Description
Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist
Location: Modesto, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must hold AART and California license
- Preferred: Radiology Technologist with California ARRT license
- Experience required in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring Cath Lab procedures including:
- Coronary Angiograms with PCI
- Pacemakers
- Peripheral Aortograms
- Call requirement: 8-12 call shifts per month, including one weekend of call per month
Required Licenses & Certifications
- AART and California state license
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- Other certifications may be required depending on position (e.g., PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM)
- State license verification required within 30 days of start
- National tech certification verification required within 30 days of start
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
- Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
- FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
- Education verification required (not required if highest education is high school)
- Transcript/Diploma verification as applicable
- OFAC Sanctions List and Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks as applicable
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear for work)
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
- Adult TDAP within 10 years or lifetime TDAP with booster within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Immunity or vaccination proof for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series or declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30)
- Color blind exam if applicable (in-person only)
- Respiratory safety clearance required, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Competency Exam with minimum passing score of 80% or Angoff score as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required for some units

- Passport-style badge photo required
- Review and sign facility-specific documents including:

- TB Questionnaire (signed by candidate and healthcare provider)
- Religious exemption forms required for facial hair (PAPR) and vaccine exemptions

- Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps
- Employment verification for up to 7 years required
- 2 professional references required for clinical/allied/per diem acute care candidates
- 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care candidates
