Required Certifications

• CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
• AART (American Association of Radiologic Technologists)
• RHM (Registered in Mammography)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• State Mammography License (ARRT not required if this license is held)

Job Description

• Perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures, including biopsies and needle localization.
• Produce high-quality images to assist physicians and healthcare providers in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease.
• Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures.
• Establish patient confidence and cooperation through thorough assessment, monitoring, and communication.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to maintain patient privacy and safety.
• May perform specific procedures and assist in orienting new staff to the department.
