Medical Lab Technician (F03740) - Detroit, Michigan

Job Summary

Perform select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens under direct supervision.
Use manual techniques or laboratory instruments and information systems.
May perform phlebotomy as needed.
Work follows defined protocols and is supervised by laboratory technologist, leader, or supervisor.

Effective communication skills.
Technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge to perform laboratory functions.

Education Requirements

Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.

Certification & Licensure

Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (e.g., ASCP or NCA).
