Job Opportunity: RN CVOR (Travel)

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Contract Length: 12 weeks (interpreted as weeks)
Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a week of call every third week


Job Description

  • Position requires working in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting.
  • Travel assignment with a 12-week contract length.
  • Call schedule: one week of call every third week.

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be AHA certified.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Must be AHA certified.
  • Current Nursing License – Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
  • License/Certificate Verification – Primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
  • Driver's License/State ID – Must be current and valid, matching address requirements.

Required Health & Immunization Documentation

  • MMR – Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
  • Hepatitis B – Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  • Influenza Vaccine – Required for flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
  • Varicella – Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
  • Tdap – Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
  • Fit Test – Required annually; preferred prior to start.
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) – Required within 30 days prior to start; TB questionnaire annually.
  • Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire – Optional but recommended.
  • Health Statement – Statement of good health or physical exam prior to assignment, updated annually.
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen – Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.

Required Onboarding & Competency Requirements

  • Ascension Color Vision Test – Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  • Ascension Core Competencies – Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year and updated yearly.
  • Ascension EKG Exam – Must pass with at least 80%.
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation – Completion of pre-hire education modules.
  • Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding – Onsite completion required.
  • Ascension Nova StatStrip – Pre-hire modules for non-allied positions.
  • Ascension Cerner Test-Out – Cerner system competency test required.
  • Ascension Skills Checklist – Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually.

Professional Documentation & Verification

  • Ascension Profile (Resume) – Required for submission.
  • Two Professional References – At least two qualifying references prior to first assignment.
  • Criminal Background Check – Includes Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender; updated annually or after break in service > 90 days.
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Check – Within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days.
  • Education Verification – Verification of relevant education within 90 days of start; updated if break in service > 90 days.
  • Employment Verification – Third-party verification for past seven years; updated annually or after break in service > 90 days.
  • Confirmation of Assignment – Provided upon initial assignment and updates with extensions.

Optional / Additional Requirements

  • Ascension Unit Specific Checklist – Optional for onboarding but must be uploaded within a week.
  • Hiring Manager Evaluation – Post-assignment evaluation (optional).
  • Name Change Documentation – Legal documentation if applicable (optional).

This position requires strict adherence to credentialing, health, and onboarding requirements to ensure compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
