Job Description

Critical care registered nurses provide care for patients with severe medical issues such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient condition and implementing care plans
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
• Assisting physicians with procedures
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment (including adjusting ventilator/IABP)
• Administering IV fluids and medications
• Suctioning
• Collaborating with the critical care team
• Responding to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
• Acting as patient advocate
• Educating and supporting patient families

Additional duties may include care for pre- and post-operative patients, case management, policy making, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Recent experience in LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital), trach, and vent care
• ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Ohio RN license or multi-state RN license

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

• Must have relevant certifications and licenses attached to submission
• Experience with ventilators and critical care equipment is essential
• Position may require floating to other units (details to be confirmed)
• Work schedule, EMR system, dress code, and other facility-specific details to be provided during interview process
