Registered Nurse (Oncology) - Travel/Contract

Location: Weston, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Weekdays, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00)

Job Description

  • Oncology RN with chemotherapy certification required
  • Must be chemo certified (ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate accepted)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year inpatient oncology experience
  • Skills required: IV start, inpatient oncology care
  • Travel experience: Not required
  • EMR system used: Cerner
  • Scrubs: Not provided (purple color recommended)

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ONS chemo/bio certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) if applicable
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) if applicable
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) if applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • State RN License verification
  • All certifications must be current and on file prior to start; no pending certifications allowed

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Proof of I9 or Attestation
  • Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
  • E-Verify or Attestation
  • Background check: 7-year criminal history, SS trace, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Education verification
  • Physical exam (initial and updated annually)
  • Immunizations and health documents including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years preferred)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD within 12 months or Qgold/Tspot within 2 years)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella titers or vaccinations
    • Hepatitis B titer or vaccination series or declination
    • Varicella titer or vaccination
    • Drug testing (10 panel within 30 days of start and annually)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation (required during flu season; exemptions require agency approval)
    • COVID-19 vaccination not required; vaccination records or signed declination accepted

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Completion of Care Learning Modules prior to start (facility will provide login instructions)
  • Photo for badge required prior to clearance
  • Background drug screen consent form must be completed prior to start
  • Non-disclosure of confidential information form required
  • Parking pass form completion required
  • ReadySet (RS) Contractor Form and surveys as applicable
  • Cerner Learning Training Modules expected to be completed prior to orientation (not sent for this facility)

Submission Requirements

  • Candidate profile including work history
  • Specialty-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Minimum 2 clinical manager/charge nurse references within the past year
  • RN license verification (NURSYs pulled within 2 days of submission)
  • Copies of all required certifications

Additional Notes

  • Workers Compensation Documentation preferred but not required
  • Candidates must comply with all facility and system requirements prior to start
  • No scrubs provided; purple scrubs recommended for this assignment
