Travel RN Opportunity - Los Alamos, New Mexico

Location

  • City: Los Alamos, NM
  • Facility: 47-bed acute care facility in Northern New Mexico

Employment Type

  • Travel assignment

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Facility Overview

  • Major healthcare provider in Northern New Mexico
  • Approximately 300 healthcare employees

Orientation

  • Weekly orientation sessions on Mondays
  • Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as Travel

Requirements

  • Must have all required certifications at submission (certifications are not available onsite)
  • Certifications required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
    • NIH Certification
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Licenses required:
    • Registered Nurse License (New Mexico)

New Mexico State Compliance

  • All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the background check is in process
  • Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver period while awaiting background check results but must be supervised during this time (except physicians)
  • Agencies must have an account with the New Mexico Department of Health (NM DOH) to initiate background checks
  • Background check process includes submission through NM DOH portal with ORI code NM920160z

This position is ideal for RNs who meet New Mexico state requirements and hold the necessary certifications, seeking a travel assignment in a community-focused acute care setting.
